Silence

Eyes, blank ,expressionless,
Gaze heavenward,
My soul wounded,
I cried.
Only my voice I heard!
Was the Almighty an Echo,
Cursed to lost his will,
To speak on his own,
Or a Narcissus was I?

Then, one night,
My soul wounded again
I cried, cried and cried,
My eyes closed,
I felt my cries,
Punctuated by a silence,
God had answered.
(His voice is the most silent)
Versed in the linguistics of silence,
My gaze turned heavenward,
I saw the endless silence,
Punctuated by my endless cries.
My eyes turned spirited; expressionless.
